About

This site contains illustrated dialogues and comics about Alice, Bob, and others. The central project of the dialogues is to explore the “stuff” that gets in the way of communication. This “stuff” can include intellectual stuff, emotional stuff, or social stuff. In everyday language, the stuff might be include preconceptions, assumptions, prejudices, arrogance, anxieties, excessive feelings of guilt, or bad habits of communication. In the dialogues, the stuff is called “embeddedness” – a word that can imply an unhelpful view of reality. By becoming aware of embedded patterns of thought, feeling, and conversation, people can improve their ability to communicate. The dialogues will illustrate ideas such as:

  1. Communication and relating to people
  2. Relating to people vs. controlling them
  3. Getting out of your head
  4. Ego
  5. Defensiveness
  6. Great Eared Bandersnatches
  7. Level infinity wizards
  8. Ketchup-wielding robots

Alice and Bob dialogues are produced by an author and an illustrator. Apart from Alice and Bob comics on this website, the illustrator does excellent work both in writing and in visual art; we would encourage you to look at it. Click here to go the illustrator’s website.
